Symbian
The Symbian platform is open source software based on Symbian OS, the most widely used open operating system for mobile phones. The OS has been integrated with software assets contributed by Nokia, NTT DoCoMo and Sony Ericsson, including the S60 and MOAP(S) user interfaces.
Portions of the source code have already been moved to open source, under the Eclipse Public License. At this point, the complete source code will be available to all – members and non-members, enthusiasts, web designers, professional developers, service providers and device manufacturers.
Until this time, members of the Symbian Foundation have access, under a royalty-free Symbian Foundation License, to the portions of the code that are not yet open source.

2PRELIMINARY ESTIMATE
After gathering some initial parameters of scope, scale and features, Magicway provides a written estimate outlining the anticipated costs and timeline for the project.
3DESIGN SPECS
The project then goes into preliminary design where a specifications package is assembled detailing all of the final functions, features and interface needs.
4GRAPHIC DESIGNING DOCUMENTATION
Using the Design Spec as guide, the project initially enters into a phase where the key user interfaces are created and static mock-ups of most screens are devloped.
5PROTOTYPE
During production, prototypes of the project are presented for the client's review and approval on a very regular basis. These prototypes can run on your actual device for testing.
6TESTING
Once all of the functions and features are implemented, a rigorous testing process begins to insure that the project functions 100% as designed and performs smoothly.
7PUBLISHING
With the completed project, Magicway can assist the client in publishing it to the app stores and making it available to the world.
